Holi terrified me.  Cause unknown.

My friend suggested past life regression.

I had expected a plush recliner in a dimly lit chamber.

Choosing to meet me in this cafe was weird.

Moreover, she looked more like an over fed hen than a therapist.

She sniffed twice, wiped her running nose with the back of her hand and ignored the tissue holder completely.

Ugh!

Shifting a little she bent forward peering  into my eyes, “Tell me how was your Holi with the Maharana of Mewar?”

And I was instantly transported five hundred years back in time…

Foot Note : Holi is a very important Hindu festival celebrated in the month of Spring. It is colourful, joyous and brings people together. This year it was celebrated on the 4th of March. It’s a two day festival beginning with Holika Dahan, a bonfire symbolizing the destruction of evil, followed by a day of playing with colours, sharing sweets, and strengthening community and family bonds.

Past life regression; sounds like a tricky solution to face up to your fears. What if the feeling gets worse.

This is an interesting tale. I wonder if this therapy session will help or hinder his fear of Holi.

Intriguing! Maybe the regression therapist was putting her at ease with how ordinary she looked and acted, only to swoop in and trigger a flashback. Not sure this practice is in the professional handbook, but if it works…

We expect set formulas fed to us in any given situation…This is no exception.

Thanks Lisa for going into the details of the story which adds an extra spark and dimension to it. It good to know that a limited worded story can invoke evaluatory response and invest reader’s analytical energy
