The Point Of Dissension
Baba said, ” Let me tell you all Rama’s story. He inherited his grandfather’s small, dingy shop and turned it into a huge departmental store through diligence, industry and ethical business.”
The children looked unimpressed, “Oh! That must have taken a lifetime!”
“You start small and grow big,” Baba replied.
“We want to start big and get bigger.”
“You are inexperienced and may make mistakes. It’s better to make small ones than big blunders.”
They disagreed.
And the argument still continues between two generations, values and approaches.
Hope they see eye to eye at some point.

Geeta, I enjoyed your story for the prompt and had to smile with how the youngens say “We want to start big and get bigger.” – but much growth too soon, can cripple.

Perhaps, no matter how you start, growing big is the wrong purpose

Thanks for this thoughtful post, Ma’am! I certainly hope that the younger generation will realize that real meaning lies in the process rather than attaining the big goal!
