This is in response to Sadje’s Weekly Photo Prompts on #Whatdoyousee

The tree twisted its claws
Deeper and deeper
To find its anchor firm
The sea swallowed the sun
It’s crashing waves
Restless to kiss the
Gold encrusted horizon
The gulls swooped down
In a graceful attempt
To ride on the waves
Crying in unison
The tree atop a rock
Sprawled it’s arms wide
The waves encircled the rock
On which perched the gulls
The waves hugged
The rock…the rock
Fondled the tree…the tree
Cradled the gulls
In timeless glee

This is an excellent take Geeta on both the images. Love your poem my friend. Thanks for joining in.

“The sea swallowed the sun“- what a brilliant imagery, Ma’am! I really loved your poem as you capture the inner tension between eternity and transience.
