The Tantalizer
“Oh! What a beautiful bunch of flowers“
“Fungus. Perhaps poisonous too.” I corrected him.
As usual he didn’t agree.
After a prolonged debate, “Add a dash of it in the quinoa salad at night. The tribal said it was edible.”
I was alarmed but the only other alternative was to continue with the argument.
So I relented reluctantly.
At dinner a spoonful later he choked. His face turned blue.
There, I was right!!
But he did not get the time to say so.

But Geeta, he insisted. How could she refuse him 😉 I feel guilty for smiling at his death.
