This is in response to Sadje’s Weekly Photo Prompt on #Whatdoyousee

In the fabled depth of your eyes

That vague outline of a sky

Peers at me

Your clasped hands

Laboured breath

Quivering lips

Weigh on my soul

I want to believe

You

Your words

Your promise

Is it a path to a dead end

Or

Have my dreams suddenly misted

Into a blur

The mirror doesn’t hold the truth

It fogs

  1. GC, this poem feels like love met a weather forecast—skies, mist, fog, the whole climate report.
Maybe it’s not fate playing tricks, maybe it’s just condensation working overtime.
Either way, keep the drama coming—it’s more refreshing than Netflix. 😂😄
