Sharing this with Esther’s Weekly Word Prompt: Vision.
I am reading Sijo, a Korean form of poetry, which has a unique construct and a strange similarity with haiku.
This open verse is not sijo..not haiku …but inspired by both…
Why do I always
Look up to the sky
And sigh…?
Is it’s limitlessness
That makes me
Feel small ?
Is it’s unfathomable depth
That makes me
Feel shallow ?
Is it’s sparkling blueness
That reminds me
Of my lack of colour?
Once again I sigh
Deeply…unable
To find the meaning
Of my sigh
The meaning of
My self

Beautifully done, Geeta. It is

Thank you so much Esther. Vision can also mean a perception which is almost epiphanic.

Beautifully written Geeta. Perhaps we feel overwhelmed by the vastness of the sky.

Thank you Sadje. If you look at Nature there are moments you feel your finiteness.
