old letters

teardrops printed

here and there

***

a lone eyelash

pressed inside the

frayed folds of an old letter

childhood crush

***

words

still fragnant

of wild flowers

an untrodden mountain track

recalls the cuckoo’s song

***

mountain flute

the rapt attention of

a wandering deer

***

unbidden path

climbing up the majestic peaks

a novice monk’s tired soles

in search of God

***

young shepherd

blows the notes

into his flute

the old flautist

catches the tune

jugalbandi

Early morning it seemed you took me on a journey from frayed folders of an old letter to mountains where I enjoyed the Jugalbandi.
