This is in response to Sadje’s Weekly Photo Prompts on #Whatdoyousee.

Hope you know life is not always calm waters
It is chaotic, confusing, inconsistent mostly
And the sky is seldom an inverted cauldron of
Liquid gold…it can be menacing, foreboding
Nothing short of a doomsayer to say the least
If you are seeking peace know that war and
Turbulence are the only constant and every
Victory precedes conquest precedes
Devastation…the collateral damages being
Abuse of innocence and youth, defilement of
Womanhood and misappropriation of
Land and resources and machismo is proven
Only in well calculated bloodbaths across
Faulty lines etched by power crazy oligarchs…

Oh Geeta, this is so heartbreaking poem my friend and it is more often than not very true. Thanks for this dose of reality.

Truly poignant and heartfelt poem, Ma’am! I can’t believe we live in those volatile times under “Faulty lines etched by power crazy oligarchs…” as you rightly noted!
