This poem made me wonder.

What does the poet mean when he says, “I love not Man the less, but Nature more” ?

Does Nature have to offer something more than what is received through human interaction ?

What does it have to offer that surpass what we get from humans?

Or is it merely the poet’s personal choice ?

Of course! Human interaction is important but need not necessarily be always comforting and caring.

But Nature always gives – beauty , serenity, joy and wonderment.

It does not take away anything from us (if it’s not calamitous).

And at times Nature makes us aware of something greater than us, thereby, humbling us and making us revisit the meaning of life and our miniscule existence in this ever expanding cosmos.

What do you feel when you are amidst Nature?

What is your choice – human interaction or presence amidst Nature ?

If you were to choose between partying all night and watching a gorgeous beauty and epiphanic wonder of Nature (like the Northern Lights) which one will you prefer out of the two?

I wrote a quote that perfectly describes how I feel about nature :

“Nature is the most splendid gift that generously keeps on giving.
It tirelessly replenishes the soul with wonder.” ~ Unknown

I would tread the middle path. I like human company and the beauty of nature both but not at the exclusion of either.

  3. Great post, Ma’am! I would say humans judge us most of the times but nature’s love is unconditional!

GC, I’d choose nature every time, nature is pure beauty, bliss, and serenity, human interactions are good, but they can be either good or bad, whereas nature and watching it is always a good thing!
