This is in response to Sadje’s Weekly Photo Prompts on #Whatdoyousee

Oh ! Please do not let me go
With tears in my eyes
With heart brimming with doubt
With lips quivering with words unsaid
With faltering steps
With thoughts not yet unburdened
With trembling breath
Oh! Please wait
Give me some more time
To weave a few more tales
To smile a little longer
To love a little deeper
To sing a song sweeter
To make myself lighter
To know that those younger
Will remember me in quieter
Moments of life walking by the shore
Of a tide calmer and waves gentler
Let me go then with lesser doubt
A fearless heart , a stilled mind
Which knows rather than believes
That I was always loved and
Remembered when the days were darker
And life much less easier

Heavy heart

The longing for just ‘a little more time’ to love deeper and weave more tales resonates so deeply. The transition from the fear of leaving to finding a ‘fearless heart’ at the end is just beautiful. A truly heartfelt piece.

Very relatable. Especially for those of us who are ‘older’ 😉
