The park had a fancy name…

Where the children gathered every evening and argued on the same story…no…rumour...no…

“Why can’t they be seen during daytime?”

“Where do they hide?”

So they decided to stay back after the gate got locked  – with bated breath.

At the stroke of midnight out they came in flock – feather light bodies…gossamer wings …huge sparkling eyes !!!

Spellbound the children watched with a mix of incredulity and delight.

The fairies!!!

Their hideout now no more a secret.

The disused Information Booth!!!!

You packed so much wonder into just 100 words! The transition from the everyday arguing of children to the magical reveal at midnight flowed perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the irony you created—hiding the most elusive, magical creatures inside something as bureaucratic and ordinary as an ‘Information Booth.’ It makes the world feel like it has secrets hidden in plain sight. A very sweet and enchanting read for this week’s challenge!

I once wrote a story about ghost children that still played on the playground of the school that burned down and killed them. This reminded me of that somewhat.
