This is in response to Sadje’s Weekly Photo Prompts on #Whatdoyousee

My life is an open book
I do not believe in masks
You can see me as I am
Touch me , hurt me,
Even heal me if you like
But I have a wall around my heart
Which you cannot break
Or cross over even if you want
You cannot see , feel , touch , hurt or heal
What’s within…its safely ensconced
I have a perfect armour erected around
But not a masquerade …no
I do not believe in masks
That can slide off anytime

A very profound poem Geeta! The face is visible and defenseless but the heart is protected. Beautiful. Thanks for joining in.

Such a profound poem! I personally often ponder about this conundrum- how do I allow my heart to be open while still keeping it safe and guarded?

Emotional safety is difficult to attain.
