Even if the world is a web
of lies and deceits
I would like to bask in
The warmth of your embrace
And believe in dreams
As the eyelids droop
On the cushion of your chest
Hold me tight so that I fight
Away the melancholic vibes
And still cherish the guile
Of nurturing faith … Of trusting love
Of hoping that the earth is heaven
And humanity is not yet dead
Even if the world is a web
Of lies and deceits
Let me take a deep breath
Of tranquil rest in your arms
Feel the serene beat of your heart
Against mine and close my eyes
To everything that is fearsome
Fragile and false and fake
