The Forest

The car broke down suddenly.

Since there was no way to get it repaired anytime soon we started walking deep into the nearby forest though we were scared of wild animals, poisonous plants, the thorny outgrowths, the half-light half shadow and the overwhelming silence.

In some time the forest gave way to a clearing. Out of nowhere we had the sun filled sky , the lush meadow and a prancing brook to ourselves. We widened our arms and embraced the vastness of the blue, the vibrance of green and the rush of silver.

In gratitude we bowed to our destiny.
