The Crystal Ball
She gazed into the ball 🏀.
Her dopey eyes!
“Blood”, She screamed.
Dramatic, I thought.
While coming back I slipped by the road side and grazed my knee.
A freak accident.
Seeing the red bruise I thought of her.
The X-ray was quite unnecessary.
Yet…
A small lump behind the knee bone.
“Imminent surgery,” the Ortho declared.
I thought of her.
Six months later I limped back to her.
She grinned triumphantly.
Her tobacco stained teeth glowing.
“See! The crystal never lies.”
Yes. I agreed.
Quietly.

That’s a good angle.
She must have. She has to run the show.

GC I love your story! I believe crystals speak and she understood its language. Cool artwork also.

Ah yes, the crystal ball wins. Not science, not logic—just her grin and a scraped knee turned prophecy. Next time I fall, I’ll book her instead of the doctor.😄😄

Oh you have to go to her first before falling and see whether her prophecy matches your predicament. Hee hee 😂😂

Exactly! Fall first, it’s clumsy. Ask her first, it’s destiny. Timing is everything. 😄🔮

And now he quietly asks her for the lottery numbers, the crystal never lies. I love it. The POV so matter of factly makes it so efficient.
