If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?
If I were to open a shop
I tell you it will be not
An ordinary one for sure
Down the valley
By the winding path
Rushing up to the sky
A cute stop
That’s my shop oh dear
With trelises of blossoms
Twirling right up
On the rocker
Swinging in air
You shall find me
Playing a flute or a pipe
Of fluid notes to cheer
Those who come by
I shall sell them dreams
And tell them to believe
Whether or not they transpire
Wings shall sprout
To kiss the clouds
To peck the moon
And tickle the stars brighter
The breeze shall dance
The birds shall hum
The fish in the rivers
Sure shall share
The forests shall echo
The cheery buzz
Lo! Hear! Hear!
In return I shall ask
Not a penny my dear!
Only a fistful of stars
Peace shall thrive
Love shall unite
And break the walls of fear
Men shall forget
How to war
How to drop nuclear
How to pollute
Mother Earth
How to ensnare
If you come across
The “Dreamer ‘s Cot”
Don’t you hurry by
Just drop in
And wave a Hi!
I shall teach you to be
A dreamer like me
Never shall you be
Less than merrier!!!!
